Akris is a well-known women's clothing brand in Europe and the United States, which is more suitable for working women. Akris was born in St Gallen is a family business founded by Ms. Alice kriemler Schoch. Akris women's wear is a representative brand of modern women, which advocates elegance, simplicity and creativity. Its simple cutting and charming design have been pursued by many female stars.
Akris women's wear has no age or nationality, and its extraordinary charm stems from the meticulous spirit of quality. Akris is a brand that can be worn out at any time. It is not necessarily designed for special occasions. It insists that women can wear it anytime, anywhere. Akris' professional dress design is atmospheric and intellectual, creating a changeable image for working women, adding infinite fun to dull work, and being a changeable and dynamic working woman.

David Chipperfield architects Milan designed a new store concept for fashion brand akris in Washington, D.C. The architect worked closely with Albert and Pieter kriemler, the current owners and grandchildren of the original originator Alice kriemler. Materiality is the core tenet of akris brand, so it has received close attention in the development process. Retail space serves as a subtle backdrop for elaborate clothing displays. "The purpose of the design is to improve the materials and processes of akris series through a solid, three-dimensional building and a light display system, and define a space where carefully selected materials become the central stage," the construction company said.

The minimalist display elements are fixed by tight horizontal cables, giving the illusion that the product is magically suspended in limestone and wood boxes. The exquisite and sculptural product display directly refers to Bruno Munari's stretched spatial structure, reflecting the contrast between the opposing forces of stretching and compression. White maple panels cover the walls, gray limestone covers the floor, and rows of track spotlights provide a neutral background for the displayed handicrafts. Grid stainless steel partitions hang from the ceiling to create vertical screens between different areas of the store while still maintaining visual continuity. In the fitting room area, the walls are decorated with ivory horsehair fabric - which is an affirmation of the extensive use of this fabric by the brand. At the same time, a gray m é Lange felt was placed on the bench, and the floor of the dressing room was covered with cream wool carpet.

Akris is famous for its strong use of materials such as horse hair fabrics, which are usually difficult to use unless appropriate technology is used.
St. Gallen, the hometown of the brand, is famous for its embroidery works, which is also a technology often used by akris. These specific construction technologies show the mastery of technology, which is rooted in the core identity of the brand. The neutral background of retail space makes the delicate details of clothing and accessories become the focus. This concept is reflected indoors because of clear and simple process signs and attention to details.
This commitment also reflects their dedication to durable products. Instead of choosing a super specific space that conforms to the trend itself, the brand is committed to designing an interior design that is more lasting than the small trend, and has achieved success.
